After I stumbled upon Dr. Fung’s work and saw his videos, read his blogs, understood and absorbed the content, it all made sense. However I never take anything at face value, it is in my nature to question and hence test.

When to eat
I decided to test the “When to eat” aspect. I completely cut out all snacking in between meals. I ate a breakfast, a lunch and a dinner, but absolutely nothing in between. I implemented this in the last week of December 2015. My average FBG (fasting blood glucose) for the month of December 2015 was 6.2 mmol. In March of 2016 I was down to 5.9 mmol. By July 2016 I was at 5.7 mmol.
I didn’t start following Dr. Fung’s program in earnest till January 2017. Fast forward to January 2018 I am batting 4.8 mmol! Only through diet, no pills at all.
After my initial success in 2016, I referred a friend to Dr. Fung’s book, The Obesity Code. He didn’t have diabetes, but was struggling with weight gain. He read the book and decided to test the theory by giving up sugar and artificial sweeteners and nothing else. Within two weeks he saw weight loss! After following the protocol for four months, he was down from 250 lb to about 195 lb!
